about our operations & technology

Organic clean shrimp

  • Indoor shrimp & pawn farming
  • Uses heat & electricity of own generation
  • 65x more shrimp yield than outdoor farms
  • Premiium product: fresh, local, no chemicals, 2-3x price of import

Carbon negative operations

  • Consumes renewable biomass,
  • Could be Ag waste, forest waste or landfill diversion
  • Output = heat + biochar
  • Pyrolysis - no combustion
  • Carbon negative operations
  • 7k-8k tons of Carbon sequestration or avoidance per site per year.

Organic soil amendment

  • Combines solid waste from shrimp + biochar ++ to organic soil amendment (organic fertilizer)
  • Sold to farmers, land reclamation
  • Tuned for soil conditions + plant physiology
  • Carbon sequestration

Our Standard Production Unit

AquaPrawnics Standard Unit has an annual output of about 120k lbs. of shrimp and 5k tons of organic fertilizer. With full production, the facility generates work for nearly 20 employees. Our proprietary shrimp growing equipment is state of the art and includes a wireless online monitoring system, which controls water temperatures, salinity, water pollution via excrements, etc. Based on a "copy exact"-approach, the unit is scalable and replicable.

Compettetive advantages

  • 94.5% of US shrimp consumption is imported
  • 3.5% of US shrimp is farmed with diminishing results due to environmental impacts
  • Organic shrimp is a seller`s market for years with premium prices
  • Highest quality on the market
  • Locally grown = short way to market

Environmental benefits

  • Reduced air pollution due to burning of Ag waste
  • Reduced water pollution due to fertilizer run off
  • Reduced irrigation water requirement
  • Increased soil fertility
  • Binds carbon in soil with a half-life of about 400 years
  • Takes pressure off wild fisheries
  • Avoids imports from Asia or South America with long transport
